CAMBRIDGE, Ohio — The Cambridge Performing Arts Centre (CPAC) is continuing to seek funding to make improvements to the 110-year-old theater in downtown Cambridge. Mitch Brian provided a fundraising update to the Cambridge-Guernsey Community Improvement Corporation Board of Trustees at its April 4, 2025, meeting.

According to Brian, the building’s roof and a portion of its HVAC needs have been addressed but other priority projects remain, and they include: a new sound system, seat repairs or replacements, upgrades to restrooms, and screen and projection equipment. Other improvements have also been identified, which would make the venue more attractive for use.

CPAC was created in 1976 for the purpose of restoring the Strand Theatre where live theatrical entertainment could again be presented in Cambridge. It is the permanent home for the Cambridge Community Theater and hosts other performances. More information is available on CPAC’s website, www.cambridgetheater.org.
