CAMBRIDGE, Ohio — Matt Abbott, President & CEO, OhioSE Economic Development, was the featured speaker at the Guernsey County Manufacturing Council meeting held May 15, 2025, at the Cambridge Country Club. Park National Bank sponsored the meeting.

Abbott joined OhioSE earlier this year after serving nine years as Executive Director of the Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority. He explained to manufacturers that OhioSE is a resource for accessing programs to help them grow and be more competitive. OhioSE is the JobsOhio Network Partner for southern, eastern and southeastern Ohio, providing economic development work and resources in 25 rural counties.

“We appreciated Matt coming to Guernsey County and explaining how JobsOhio and OhioSE support existing companies looking to grow,” said Bill Arnett, Economic Development Director, Cambridge-Guernsey Community Improvement Corporation. “Four companies in 2024 received JobsOhio incentives thanks to the work of OhioSE.”

The Guernsey County Manufacturing Council is coordinated by the Cambridge-Guernsey Community Improvement Corporation and OhioMeansJobs Guernsey County.  Three breakfast meetings are conducted annually, and a Manufacturing Appreciation Luncheon is held in October.
