CAMBRIDGE, Ohio — The Cambridge-Guernsey Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) has pledged $10,000 in support of the Cambridge Area YMCA aquatic center project. CIC officers Jack Marlin and Jeremy Morrow presented June 6, 2025, the CIC’s first $2,000 contribution. Additionally, the CIC worked with local officials to advocate for project funding from the State of Ohio, which resulted in a $3 million award from the 2024 Capital Budget Bill. State Representatives Adam Holmes and Don Jones, and State Senators Al Landis and Brian Chavez enthusiastically support the project through the Capital Budget Bill process.
YMCA Director Carmella Dixon updated the CIC board about the organization’s fundraising efforts. She said significant progress has been made toward the campaign’s $10 million goal. She said if support remains strong, the YMCA would love to break ground on the project in spring 2026. To learn more about the project and capital campaign, visit the YMCA’s website.
