CAMBRIDGE, Ohio — The Ohio Oil and Gas Association and the Cambridge-Guernsey CIC hosted an oil and gas appreciation event August 15 at Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center. Nearly 100 people attended the event with guests including representatives from oil and gas companies, allied industries, community leaders and elected officials. Park National Bank, Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District, and Nicolozakes Trucking and Construction sponsored the event.

The program included a keynote from Congressman Troy Balderson plus five speakers, each explaining how the oil and gas industry has impacted their organizations. Local speakers included Tony Minyo from the Old Washington Community Fire Department, Randy Raber from the Guernsey County Agricultural Society/Fair Board, Matt Reed from East Guernsey Local Schools, Devvon Dettra from Rolling Hills Local Schools, and Craig Butler from MWCD. Dan Coffman from Cambridge City Schools also provided remarks shared by CIC Director Bill Arnett.
