CAMBRIDGE, OH – The Cambridge-Guernsey Community Improvement Corporation celebrated Manufacturing Month by hosting its third annual Manufacturing Appreciation Luncheon attended by nearly 90 people representing manufacturing companies and allied industries, elected officials and other community leaders. Nicolozakes Trucking & Construction, OhioSE Economic Development, Park National Bank, and Zane State College sponsored the event. It was held on October 20 at Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center.
The program included remarks from Troy Balderson, U.S. Representative, Ohio’s 12th District, and Ryan Augsburger, President, Ohio Manufacturers’ Association. According to Augsburger, more than 687,000 people are employed by Ohio Manufacturers, and that makes Ohio the country’s third largest manufacturing state.
The Manufacturing Appreciation Luncheon is part of the CIC’s Manufacturing Council Program. The CIC convenes local manufacturing firms for three breakfast meetings each year where an informational program is provided, plus time for networking. OhioMeansJobs Guernsey County coordinates the Manufacturing Council Program with the CIC. Zane State College hosted the meetings at the Willett-Pratt Training Center in Cambridge.
