CAMBRIDGE, Ohio – Representatives from local manufacturers heard about an innovative workforce program from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction during the first Manufacturing Council meeting of 2025 held March 27 at the Cambridge Country Club. The Cambridge-Guernsey Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) and OhioMeansJobs (OMJ) Guernsey County coordinate the program.

“We appreciated Mike Stoner, plant manager, Telling Industries, and Vernise Robinson, Workforce Development Administrator, Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, for providing the program,” said Sue Thomas-Sikora, Assistant Director, Guernsey County Department of Job & Family Services, OhioMeansJobs Guernsey County.

The Manufacturing Council meets for three quarterly breakfast meetings, and a Manufacturing Appreciation Luncheon in October to celebrate National Manufacturing Month. The CIC, OMJ Guernsey County and Park National Bank sponsor the breakfast meetings.

“The Manufacturing Council is part of our business retention and expansion strategy,” said Bill Arnett, Executive Director, Cambridge-Guernsey CIC. “We provide our local companies with useful information and a venue for them to network with their colleagues.”

Manufacturing Council breakfasts are open to any Guernsey County manufacturing company or allied industry. For more information, contact the CIC office.
