CAMBRIDGE, Ohio — The CIC at its October 3 meeting presented a plaque of appreciation to Quanex for their many years of support to the organization and the community. The CIC office was housed at the company’s Cochran Avenue location for several years prior to its relocation to Zane State’s Willett-Pratt Center.

Tami Bolon, General Manager of Quanex Custom Mixing in Cambridge, accepted the award after presenting to the CIC Board of Trustees. She provided details about the company and the Cambridge operations. Quanex operates two facilities in Cambridge employing more than 400. It is one of the largest manufacturing employers in Guernsey County.

The CIC each October asks a local manufacturer to present to its Board of Trustees in recognition of Manufacturing Month. BlueScope Coated Products presented to the Board in 2024 and Kerry in 2023. Additionally, the CIC hosts a Maufacturing Appreciation Luncheon each October, which manufacturers and allied industries attend. Lt. Gov. Jim Tressel was the keynote speaker for the 2025 event.
