CARROLLTON, Ohio (Aug. 2, 2024) — Encino Energy, Ohio’s No. 1 oil producer and one of the state’s leading natural gas producers, and its vendors today announced over $105,000 in donations from the 2024 Encino Vendor Charity Classic. The event was created last year to give thanks to vendors and contractors who work with Encino Energy and are a major part of the Company’s success.
This year’s gathering was a two-day event consisting of a clay shoot, golf outing and awards reception. Vendors came together to sponsor the event at various levels and proceeds went directly to local nonprofits that impact Encino’s operational area. $100,000 in donations was split evenly between five nonprofit organizations, including the Cambridge-Guernsey County Community Improvement Corporation (CIC).
The other recipients included the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, the Brightside Project and the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber Foundation, and the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy Foundation (MWCF). Each nonprofit organization received a donation of $20,000. Donations raised from the course also included $5,000 to the Ohio Natural Energy Foundation.
This year’s presenting sponsors were Evolution WellServices, Patterson UTI, Tetra Technologies and Vallourec.
Evolution Well Services Appreciates Opportunity to Get Involved
Evolution Well Services, with a presence in the Utica, Marcellus, Eagle Ford, and Permian basins, provides electric fracturing services on Encino Energy projects. Evolution, the “next-generation pressure-pumping company,” is establishing new standards in the fracturing industry with high-efficiency operations while minimizing its environmental footprint.
“This is our second year of sponsoring this event,” said Nick Ruppelt, chief operating officer of Evolution Well Services. “Encino Energy has been a great partner to Evolution, and we really appreciate the opportunity to get involved and make a real impact to the local community in Ohio through the Encino Vendor Charity Classic. Our team members do as much as we can to lend a hand in a variety of community initiatives, so it’s not uncommon to see us participating in events like this.”
Cambridge-Guernsey County CIC Promotes Overall Quality of Life
The Cambridge-Guernsey County Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) is a first-time recipient of an Encino Vendor Charity Classic donation. The organization’s mission is to develop and implement strategies to attract and retain business and industry in the area, while engaging in activities to promote the overall quality of life for the citizens of Guernsey County.
“These funds will enable us to invest more into our community that we wouldn’t have been able to otherwise,” said Bill Arnett, the organization’s economic development director. “When we met the Encino Energy leadership team at the Coffee Connector meeting in Guernsey County last year, they made it very clear they saw some great opportunities here. We’re excited to partner with Encino to provide additional resources and assistance to local businesses. This donation will help our downtown revitalization initiatives and help us beef up our business retention and expansion efforts.”
Encino Energy Drives Meaningful Change
Encino Energy is one of the largest private oil and natural gas producers in the U.S. and a top 25 North American natural gas producer. Encino’s operations in the prolific Northern Utica Shale make it the largest oil producer in Ohio and one of the largest natural gas producers in the state.
“We’re proud to be in a position to support these great organizations with our vendors,” said Hardy Murchison, founder and CEO of Encino Energy. “Each is well deserving. These donations will bring meaningful change here and to the state of Ohio. As proud American energy workers, we’ll continue to find ways to make positive impacts on our employees’, vendors’ and citizens’ lives in the communities where we operate.”
