
CAMBRIDGE, Ohio — The Cambridge-Guernsey CIC and Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a welcome luncheon for Muskingum University President, Dr. Flavius Lilly, on July 1, 2026, at the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center. Dr. Lilly is Muskingum University’s 22nd President and started his new role earlier this week. The event was attended by about 40 elected officials and community leaders.
During the event, Guernsey County Commissioner Dave Wilson provided the official welcome to Guernsey County. Jennifer Vincent, Chamber of Commerce President & CEO, shared details about the chamber and CIC’s shared work on youth retention and attraction. She previewed a new video that will be used to market the community to college students and recent college graduates. The video will be available soon on the Chamber and CIC websites.
Prior to coming to Muskingum University, Dr. Lilly was most recently provost at McDaniel College, Westminster, Maryland. Dr. Lilly has a strong connection to Ohio having grown up in Brown County in southern Ohio and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Biological Sciences from Wright State University.
