CAMBRIDGE, Ohio — In recognition of national Manufacturing Day, the Cambridge-Guernsey County Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) Board of Directors and guests heard October 6, 2023, an informational presentation from one of the region’s leading manufacturers. Jeremy Young, Plant Manager, Kerry Byesville, shared information about the multinational company’s corporate initiatives, as well as the local operation and its connection to the community.

Young noted the local facility’s donations to multiple organizations. One example is the local operation’s garden. Fresh produce is harvested and donated to local food pantries for distribution. Additionally, Kerry provides each employee with a “volunteer day.” The company pays employees’ wages, while they spend a day volunteering for a non-profit organization.

Kerry Group is an international leader in taste and nutrition innovation. The company is headquartered in Ireland and employs more than 23,000 workers globally.
