Cambridge, Ohio — The Cambridge-Guernsey County Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) recognized Donna Hurd, Jackson Township Fiscal Officer, for her 20 years of service to the Board of Directors. Hurd attended December 8, 2023, her final meeting as a member of the CIC Board of Directors.

CIC Board President Ron Gombeda from the Guernsey County Community Development Corporation, and Board Vice President, Jennifer Vincent from the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce presented Hurd with a certificate of appreciation.

Hurd notified the CIC in November that she would be unable to continue serving as a board member due to work commitments. Jackson Township in November appointed Trustee Charlie Mallett to replace Hurd on the board starting in January 2024.

The CIC was created in 1965 by the Guernsey County Commissioners and designated by resolution to perform economic development functions for the county, City of Cambridge and Village of Byesville. The CIC serves as the local economic development partner in Guernsey County for OhioSE Economic Development and JobsOhio.
