Seneca Lake is the third largest lake in Ohio, and fittingly, the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD) has provided a beautiful gateway to water-borne fun through a $1 million upgrade to an already outstanding marina facility.  Housing the “Dockside” Restaurant and Ships Store, the waterside complex now boasts a restaurant bar and increased seating capacity.  Seating was largely increased by reconstruction of the outdoor patio area, now covered by an arched roof with clear visibility to the boat dock and harbor area.  A 550-foot seawall now stabilizes and beautifies the bay by providing shoreline spacing which enables paved handicapped access to marina docks.

The marina is the heart of activity generated by multi-million dollar improvements to the Marina Point Campground.  Campers from the more than 100 camp sites adjacent to the marina can eat meals, have a beverage on the beautifully remodeled outside area or board boats on the numerous docks overlooked by the facility.  This gem is now one of the most scenic in Ohio.
